Charter the Schooner Adirondack II

General Information

Adirondack II is certified for up to 60 guests. Unlike many historic schooners, she was built and designed specifically for carrying passengers comfortably; so, even with a full boat of 60 guests, all have room to sit and move about the decks.

She is 80 feet long over all with a 16 foot beam. The lines of Adirondack II are modeled after the 1890’s style pilot schooners. She is long and lean with a plumb bow, helping her ply through the waters more effortlessly than the average schooner. This is an all-wooden vessel with a white glass overlay haul. She is quite easy to pick out amongst other schooners with her smooth clean lines.

Teak decks and brilliantly varnished mahogany rails and trimmings surround our guests. 70 foot Douglas Fir masts and just under 2000 square feet of sails stretch to the skies over head. Adirondack II is sure to dazzle you and your guests with her majestic beauty.

Adirondack II is a U.S. Coast Guard certified vessel sailing with U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains and only the most experienced and hospitable crew. She is equipped with life jackets for all, two well appointed bathrooms, blankets for cool evenings, and beverages on all trips.

Feel free to arrange for catering on board. We have a number of suggested local caterers here in Key West. Our crew will take care of serving and bussing after all of your guests with the greatest of ease and courtesy.

Weddings

Yes! We do, we do, we do! Adirondack II has set the stage for many a small wedding ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, proposal or brunch gathering. She has also entertained the salty-inclined bachelor and bachelorette parties. It’s a great way to host your special day in a private, classy way that embraces one of the more magical, iconic activities here in Key West.

Though we are known for our beautiful and comfortable vessels, guests are repeatedly even more surprised by how gracious our captains and crew are as hosts. If you are looking for a special activity to entertain clients or co-workers, you will be pleasantly amazed by the seamlessness of this experience. Your guests will be treated like royalty and the event will leave a beautiful lasting memory for all.

Team Builders

Classic Harbor Line offers a competitive and educational team-building program aboard her schooners. The program involves a set of contests that require communication, teamwork and planning skills. With these hands-on activities, teams will not only have a great time, but will also collectively learn quite a bit about the basics of sailing and line-handling. To ensure the safety of all the participants, team-builders start off with an on-deck safety session and a crew member is assigned to each team to ensure that each guest has a great time and stays out of harm’s way while competing. The program can last 2-4 hours, depending on the number of guests and activities included. There should be 2-5 teams created for the charter with 3-7 members on each team. (35 guests is the max for a hands-on team-builder). Team-builders are often ended with a picnic luncheon and an optional standard open bar.

Charter Payment

A 50% deposit is due upon signing your charter agreement. The remainder is due 5 business days prior to your sail date. Furthermore, final head counts and service packages must be finalized 5 business days prior to your sail date. There are no refunds issued for absent guests on any per person charges.
